This week's Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by the lovely ladies at The Broke and the Bookish) is all about (upcoming) book covers that I would frame as the pieces of art they truly are. Going through them, I noticed a number of themes. One is typography - the more beautiful a font, the more eye-poppingly unique it is, the more likely a cover would end up on this list (see Euphoria, The Darkest Part of the Forest, Jackaby and Don't Touch). I also love bright colors, gorgeous photography, and most especially - illustration. I included a couple of children's middle-grade titles because of their stunning artwork (The Witch's Boy and The Zoo at the Edge of the World).
Which upcoming book covers do you think should be hung up in a museum? Do you agree or disagree with my choices? I'd love to know!
